Film London has received a grant from the BFI for c160 films from LSA’s collections to be made digitally available as part of the BFI’s ambitious ‘Unlocking Film Heritage’ programme. The films in LSA’s selection come from 9 different archives across the city, including both film specialist and non-film specialist organisations. We require a skilled copywriter to provide standfirsts, brief summaries and short content descriptions to a specified word count that will entice viewers on the BFI Player platform to watch these titles, giving an accurate and engaging idea of their content. The ideal candidate will have experience of writing for the web, of exploring London (or similar) history, and an understanding of what motivates people to view historic non-fiction film.
Deadline for applications: 12pm noon, 7 April 2015
