Here is some important information about the conference and the registration process:
The conference will take place from 16 to 18 July 2019. The conference will begin around 2pm on 16 July for registration, and will finish around 6pm on 18 July. The conference is taking place in the Hedley Suite, which can be found in the Sandyford Building of Northumbria University’s city campus. This is marked as 19 on the campus map available here. For further information about getting to Northumbria University, please see here.
All speakers at the conference need to register by 1 May so we can guarantee that your paper will be programmed. We will announce a draft programme in early May. Each paper will be allocated 20 minutes, and there will be AV facilities for presentations. We will do our best to accommodate requests for specific timings for panels, but cannot guarantee this.
In order to attend the conference you must be a member of IAMHIST. Please see here information about the many benefits of joining.
If you submitted a proposal and are no longer able to come to the conference, we’d be grateful if you could contact us at email@example.com.
Your registration fee will include lunch on 17 and 18 July. On the first night (16 July), you are invited to an evening reception where drinks and a buffet will be served. The formal conference meal takes place on the evening of 17 July, and costs £27.50. This will take place at an Indian restaurant in the centre of Newcastle. It is advisable to book this at the time of registering for the conference, as places are limited and we cannot guarantee that delegates will be able to book for it at the time of the conference itself.
Newcastle has a range of available accommodation. On the booking page you will find a link to a small selection of options, but we would also recommend the usual sites such as booking.com
The conference is being organized by James Leggott and Johnny Walker at Northumbria University. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’ve not done so already, please sign up for the new and free IAMHIST e-mailing list: you can do so here. We will be using this list to give updates about the conference. For further information about the list, and etiquette guidelines, please see here.
