Lecturer in Literature and Film (1945 to Present)

The School of English Literature, Language & Linguistics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in English Literature and Film with a specialism in the period 1945 onwards. Expertise in American Literature and Film and/or (or Anglophone) Postcolonial/World Literature and Film would be a clear advantage. Building on our success at REF2014, we are looking for candidates who can deliver research and teaching of the highest quality. A strong publication record is therefore essential, excellent research plans equally so. Beyond that, the successful candidate will have the experience and qualities needed to provide excellent teaching to both undergraduates and postgraduates and to make a dynamic contribution to the culture and management of the School.

Informal enquiries can be made to the Head of School, Dr James Annesley, 0191 208 6617, james.annesley@ncl.ac.uk

The proposed start date is 1 September 2016.
